SMILE LASER TREATMENT

FUNCTION:
SMILE (Small Incision Lenticule Extraction) is a minimally invasive procedure for correcting myopia and astigmatism. A small incision is made to remove a small lens (lenticule) from the cornea, changing the shape of the cornea and correcting the refractive error.

PROCEDURE:
The procedure takes approximately 15-20 minutes. After anesthesia with eye drops, the lenticule is created using a femtosecond laser and removed through a small incision. No eye dressing is required, and the patient can leave the clinic shortly afterward.

HEALING:
The healing time is short, and many patients can return to their normal activities the next day. Final visual acuity is achieved within a few days to weeks.

WHO IS SUITABLE?

Ideal for patients with myopia or astigmatism who are looking for a minimally invasive alternative to LASIK. Patients should be over 18 years old and have stable vision.
